Typography

One family, Lexend, for headings, body and UI. JetBrains Mono for numbers, flows, tags and code. Both are variable fonts, self-hosted from @monk-business/brand/fonts.css as “Lexend Variable” and “JetBrains Mono Variable”.

Rules

Section titled “Rules”
  • Headings use weight 600: display-xl (home hero only), display (page titles), heading-2 (sections), heading-3 (cards).
  • Running text uses body (17px, weight 300) with lines near 65 characters (text-measure); the first paragraph under a title uses lead.
  • UI and helper text use small; legal lines and timestamps use caption.
  • eyebrow is always uppercase with 0.16em letter spacing, one to three words, above a heading.
  • On phones reduce display-xl to 36px and display to 30px; keep body at 17px.

The Tokens page shows every style with its size, line height, weight and tracking. In CSS, use the mb-text-<style> classes or the --mb-text-<style>-size|line|weight|tracking variables; in Tailwind, text-<style>.
